The modular SINAMICS G120 converter system comprises the Power Module, the Control Unit, and an optional operator panel

The Control Unit uses a variety of customizable closed-loop control types to monitor and control the Power Module and the linked motor. It facilitates communication between monitoring equipment and a local or central controller. The motor receives power from the Power Module in the interval of 0.37 kW to 250 kW. Its cutting-edge IGBT technology with pulse width modulation provides incredibly versatile and dependable motor operation. The Power Module and the motor are highly protected by comprehensive protective mechanisms.
