wide range of geared motor variants

Motors with gears to handle a variety of applications. We provide a large variety of geared motor variations because geared motors are incredibly adaptable. For a variety of applications, servomotors with highly precise and cost-effective planetary gearboxes are offered.

In motion control applications, you gain from compactness and seamless operation. Gearboxes can be fitted to our servo motors and main motors using a KS adapter in addition to a premounted option. Our motors with standard gearboxes complete the portfolio in the best possible way.

Servo Planetary geared motors from SIMOTICS S-1FK2 and S-1FT2: the complete built gearbox solution

The Servo Planetary geared motors SIMOTICS S-1FK2 and S-1FT2 allow for maximum cycle rates and can be fitted with an inertia adjustment for accurate heavy load movement or a lightweight, low-inertia gearbox version.

Because of the large variety of gearbox sizes and ratios, the gearbox may be precisely tailored to the application. The digital twin of the geared motors in the TIA selection tool makes the thermal dimensioning as easy as it would be for a servo motor.

Benefits

  • Ideal tuning of the mass moment of inertia or torque-speed ratio between the motor and load
  • Three gearbox options for a servo geared motor solution that is fully manufactured, tested, and operational

Product Selection

Coaxial and angled planetary geared motors

Gearbox type NLC (W)

The NLC gearbox is incredibly sturdy and appropriate for heavy axial and radial stresses because of the preloaded tapered roller bearing. Water and dust intrusion are prevented by the IP65 sealing.

  • Gear ratios: 3 … 100
  • Gearbox stages: 1 and 2-stage
  • Degree of protection: IP65
  • Type of construction: IM B5
Gearbox type NRK (W)

NRK gearboxes are made to withstand greater axial and radial forces because of its massive output bearing. Because of their minimal internal friction, these gearboxes can also operate at greater speeds.

  • Gear ratios: 3 … 100
  • Gearbox stages: 1 and 2-stage
  • Degree of protection: IP64
  • Type of construction: IM B14
Gearbox type NRB(W)

The gearbox with the highest power density and the lightest weight is the NRB. It produces relatively little heat and is appropriate for highspeed because of its low friction design.

  • GGear ratios: 3 … 320
  • Gearbox stages: 1, 2, and 3-stage
  • Torsional backlash: 6 … 22 arcmin
  • Degree of protection: IP64
  • Type of construction: IM B14

SIMOTICS S-1FK7, S-1FT7 planetary geared motor

The best option for motion control applications requiring high to extremely high precision and dynamic response is a servomotor with planetary gearbox. Depending on the needs, there are three variants available:

SIMOTICS S-1FK7/S-1FT7 servomotors with SP + planetary gearboxes
  • Torsional backlash: ≤ 4 or ≤ 6 arcmin (one or 2-stage)
  • Efficiency: > 94 or > 97 % (one or 2-stage)
  • Gearbox transmission ratios: 4 to 50
  • Mounting type: Coaxial with a coupling
  • Degree of protection: IP 65
  • Mechanical design: Solid shaft design with and without feather key
SIMOTICS S-1FK7 servomotors with NP planetary gearbox
  • Torsional backlash: ≤ 12 arcmin
  • Efficiency: > 97 %
  • Gearbox transmission ratios: 5 and 10
  • Mounting type: Coaxial with a coupling
  • Degree of protection: IP64
  • Mechanical design: Solid shaft with feather key
SIMOTICS S-1FK7 DYA directly mounted planetary gearbox
  • Torsional backlash: ≤ 8 arcmin
  • Efficiency: > 97 %
  • Gearbox transmission ratios: 5 and 10
  • Mounting type: Coaxial, directly mounted
  • Degree of protection: IP64
  • Mechanical design: Especially compact, solid shaft with feather key

Servo geared motors from SIMOTICS S-1FG1 are companiable with a variety of gearboxes

Compact geared motors are the SIMOTICS S-1FG1 Servo geared motors. Induction motors distinguish themselves from conventional geared motors due to their smaller size, lighter weight, and better dynamic performance. Helical worm-generated motors in standard sizes and speed/torque graduations are among the varieties. The gearbox heads used by SIMOGEAR geared motors are also by SIMOTICS S-1FG1 servo geared motors.

Advantages

  • Because there is no connection cage between the motor and gearbox, the direct installation results in an incredibly compact design.
  • Lubricated for life requiring no maintenance
  • Excellent performance and minimal torsional backlash
  • Because of the helical teeth, there is little running noise
