Earlier this year Alpha Drives were pleased to offer support to a Manufacturing Company making COVID 19 screens. At a critical time in production one of there main lines producing these screen guards went down when its plc went into error mode and its prog could not be recovered .

As the line was operating 24/7 , requiring 9 operators and a production schedule of 9000 sheets a week ( 45 tonnes of material) it was critical to get this machine back up and running immediately.

Alpha Drives transplanted a full Siemens Control package containing S71200 & HMI TP700 replacing the original faulty controller. Using original production recipes and upgrading the HMI to include more diagnostics the traverse saw was rebuilt with new controls & software over a weekend and the line was back up and running in no time at all.
